Founded in 2019, Kingfly Spirits is a family-owned craft distillery, tasting bar, and events space housed in a former carriage house. W|W designed the visual branding and label for Kingfly Spirits Blanco Tequila, Pittsburgh’s first authentic, locally finished, and bottled tequila. Born in Jalisco and years in the making, the Kingfly Blanco Tequila has crisp, sweet notes of Blue Weber Agave with a clean herbaceous finish.

The Kingfly name and visual identity were inspired by the monarch butterfly, the “king” of the butterflies with its distinctive markings resembling royal regalia and their annual migration from Mexico to the eastern U.S. The Kingfly brand promise is deeply rooted in the concept of transformation, including the ingredients, experiences, and perspectives, and the monarch supports that narrative through its lifecycle of change. W|W's design for the Kingfly Tequila branding leans into that transformative spirit, literally and figuratively.
