W|W designed & developed the website for The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA, a non-profit organization that helps children by delivering resources to mentoring programs throughout the region. The responsively designed website is a primary marketing tool and brand signal for the organization. The website is powered by BlokBlok CMS (Ruby on Rails + Javascript content management system) with the News and Form Builder modules, which permits the easy updating of site content by the client. The responsive design website approach responds to the user’s behavior and environment based on screen size, platform and orientation by using a mix of flexible grids and layouts, images and an intelligent use of CSS media queries. As the user switches from their laptop to iPad to mobile device, the website automatically switches to accommodate for resolution, image size and scripting abilities.
