Wall-to-Wall Studios' Integrated Campaign Designed for URA Pittsburgh Wins Gold Economic Develop Award from IEDC
The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA) received a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award for the Integrated Investor Prospectus and Campaign designed by Wall-to-Wall Studios from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The world’s largest independent non-profit membership and research organization devoted exclusively to the field of economic development, the IEDC helps economic development professionals create high-quality jobs, develop vibrant communities and improve the quality of life in their regions.
"We recognize the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh for creating innovative and successful strategies to promote economic development in this period of global recovery,” said Jay Moon, IEDC chair. “Our awards honor organizations and individuals for their efforts in creating positive change in communities. The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh demonstrates that they are at the forefront of the economic development profession and are using cutting-edge, effective practices that can be replicated in other communities."
The initiative took an unothrodox approach to a typical annual report via the creation of an "investor prospectus" with print and web/interactive components that showcase how the City of Pittsburgh has evolved through the assistance of the URA. The six foot tall yellow asterisk was fabricated by W|W using foam core, adhesive, razor blades and yellow paint.
