This page was set up as part of a project called FoundFutures. This company does not exist. It is intended to support a distributed installation in Honolulu's Chinatown simulating a rapid influx of new development in the neighborhood, including chain stores, theme restaurants, and high-end condominiums, as well as a nascent resistance to this development. FoundFutures is a multimedia collaborative project based on the idea that a wider range of possible futures should be made visible and thinkable to people in their everyday lives. It aims to inject futures into the present; provoking thought, conversation, and action by creating and distributing art, artifacts, images, performances and other media embodying stories and scenarios about possible worlds.
